Zalando Outlet Store Köln
Interior design and shop design of a 1,600 m2 outlet area at the DuMont Carré in Cologne’s city centre. It is the third shop of the online department store Zalando. Shoes, clothing, and accessories come from returns or having slight faults and even last season items are sold at reduced prices. The big challenge was to find a high-quality and individual design for the huge mass of products which had to be presented in an area of 1,600 m2.
With its clear and minimalist forms, this interior has a contemporary and pleasantly open look, but at the same time is endowed with an identity all its own – an effect accentuated by the use of arrow elements on the logo. The concept also meets the requirements pertaining to mass and multiplicity, without seeming overloaded.
