Description

Koh Samed is a place for couples seeking romance. Therefor, the design team decided to create a place that served couples and their activities, while not alienating the family guests by using semi-outdoor balconies that provide privacy from the adjacent unit. Visitors can be impressed by lots of features: a pool access, private jacuzzi, ventilating blocks and the white box lobby enclosing the existing trees and is used as a screen for films. Guests need to bend down slightly as they come in.

Statement of the jury

The projecting and recessed arrangement of the room spaces, in conjunction with separating wall elements, allows for considerable privacy, while endowing the building design with an intriguing, modern and distinctive character.
