Ersatzbau für die Ludwig-Weber-Schule

Description

Construction of a school as a temporary replacement building made of wood. The construction consists of prefabricated wooden panel elements, which can be dismantled, transported and reconstructed at a new location after a period of use. The building is 3-storey and accommodates all functions/ rooms of a primary school. The use of wood creates a healthy indoor climate and thus a pleasant learning atmosphere.

Statement of the jury

This design for a temporary school building was executed in a contemporary idiom from both a technological and ecological standpoint. The congenial and invitingly clear architecture of the outer shell is carried over to the building’s interior, and is underscored by lightness, colours and a healthy room climate.
