M&G is situated in the main atrium of a busy resort complex and offers a point of focus and sense of calm and retreat. The space is sleek and sophisticated; vaulted ceilings create intimacy by extending out in the form of a steel skeletal structure sheltering diners and giving the bar presence and place. Illuminated bentwood mirrors add a sense of luxury, natural stone and bespoke furniture ensure its coastal setting is referenced, and the confident use of colour ensures a rich and mature space. The inviting atmosphere of this bar is notable for its agreeably light and harmonious design – a characteristic that is accentuated by rhythmically curved and illuminated baldachins.
