Description

The Capital Tower is located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on a plot area of 3,563 sqm, with a built-up area of 19,900 sqm, 27 floors, it is composed of 4 star hotel, offices, restaurants, retail shops, and banquet hall, with three podium parking and one basement. The composition of the building creates various levels of green terraces overlooking the sea and defining the building’s orientation. The façade treatment optimises and filters the natural light into the spaces while minimising the heat gain.

Statement of the jury

The prism-like form that appears to emerge from this tower’s vertically structured shell endows the building with a distinctive identity. The sloped roof captures a maximum amount of sunlight and conveys it to the interior. An impressive building that combines a modern design aesthetic and sustainability into an iconic calling card.
