Latvians in World War I

Description

World War I brought deconstruction. We applied the term to space, creating exhibition that holds specialized content for history enthusiasts. Piles of stylized ammunition boxes carry multi-level digital and manual narrative, while creating almost endless passages of frontline trenches. Private soldiers’ letters engage visitors and involuntarily personalize the stories. Short visual movies bring to life the stories of exhibits. No words can fully tell the story of WWI, so we applied emotions.

Statement of the jury

This exhibition combines original documents, exhibits created specifically for the show and modern media technologies that speak for themselves and take the visitor on an exciting trip back in time.
