Description

The main level of this triangular house is raised up from the street level to accommodate the somewhat difficult terrain of the site. A guest apartment along with a terrace and shared storage area are located slightly below the street level. The south facing transparent façade brings a generosity to the private rooms of the main level. The introverted living and dining area and courtyard garden create a connection to the larger neighbourhood through the geometric centre of the triangle.

Statement of the jury

The new building has a modern appearance with clear proportions and an interestingly structured façade whose large windows let lots of light into the inside. At the same time, the building has a pleasantly open and friendly effect. A beautiful design that makes maximum use of the possibilities within the limited boundary conditions.
