Sun Tile

Description

Sun Tile is born from a Portuguese traditional element, the tile. Inspired by a 19th-century building with two-dimensional circular graphics, a three-dimensional interpretation emerged through a smooth spherical surface of anthropomorphic character. The models are designed as interior lighting elements, which are fixed in a vertical position, suspended on the ceiling or fixed on the wall. The latest LED technology allows the control of the light source and the adaptation to any environment.

Statement of the jury

The tiles used in the Sun Tile luminaire have a very vivid effect thanks to their characteristic round curved shape, whereby the fascinating play of light and shadow is enhanced by the ceramic glaze. An exceptional design that is instantly recognisable and creates very beautiful lighting.
