GRIGIO

GRIGIO

Description

“Various light sources in the house convey to people the abundance of nature, while the grey interior world communicates human creativity.” This house is designed for the modern art collector. Indirect light is carefully created with high-side light, skylight and a courtyard, and give slight movement to the space. The interior spaces are finished with gray colour, including the kitchen and furniture. This creates a unique contrast with the colourful artworks.

Statement of the jury

The sophisticated architectural style creates various lighting moods in which the light enters the interior both directly through the large windows, while indirect light is carefully channeled through light shafts, cleverly positioned skylights and the inner courtyard. This is a fascinating building in which light becomes a defining design element.
