alouette Ghettoiletpaper

Description

We came up with an idea. Pimp the toilet paper. Go in style with a smile. An idea with great response. An idea that went socially viral, and turned an unsexy low interest product, into a boom box people liked, shared and bought. Creating awareness for the brand. Gaining respect from the babaz and big boys in the hood… A simple idea, that worked for everybody. (Not only those, with a designer’s degree).

Statement of the jury

Packaging cumbersome toilet paper as a ghetto-blaster is a lovely and humorous homage to the bulky radio and cassette players of the 1980s. The suitcase-sized, rich sounding devices were once hip – today they’re cult items.
