Edgar Allan Poe: „Die Methode Dr. Thaer & Prof. Fedders“

Edgar Allan Poe: „Die Methode Dr. Thaer & Prof. Fedders“

Description

A humorous but also scary story by E. A. Poe. Illustrations and typography follow with dark, drab colour and the symmetry and art of ink blot tests (Rorschach): In 1845, a medical student visits a madhouse in South France to study the humane treatment modality. Instead, the young man is confronted with the wondrous method of Dr Thaer & Prof. Fedders – with dramatic results! Rorschach-type black monotypes harken back to the bizarre and eerie world of Maillard’s psychiatry.

Statement of the jury
