Statement of the jury

"Detecon (Deutsche Telekom Consulting) had to move its headquarters from Bonn to Cologne into a cramped building from the 1980s. In order to make a positive gesture to the employees affected by the move, a highly remarkable and extraordinary design concept was developed and implemented for the interior based on art and “emotional intelligence”. Specifically, 15 international artists from the realms of new media art, concept art and stage design not only produced impressive spatial installations, but also a general landmark for external communication, namely the “Think Tent”, a mobile inflated cushion installation that symbolises the consultant’s key ability to be able to constantly reorient himself in terms of location, time and topic.ART WORKS is not only an innovative, but in many regards also a special office concept."
