The Skoupil Winery

Description

The Skoupil Winery is a family winery from Southern Moravia in the Czech Republic. Our task was to design a logo and labels for their wines, in order to visually differentiate the various ranges. The basis of the design of the labels for wines from the “Terroir range” is a map of Velké Bílovce painted in an untrained manner with individual vineyard trails and attractive small details. On the label for each specific wine, the map is marked to show exactly where the grapes for the wine were grown.

Statement of the jury

The idea of depicting the wine’s terroir via a simple map that is congenially drawn freehand, and making the map a signature element of the label, is quite appealing.
