Description

The new building is characterised by a composition of clear geometric volumes, which are explored through natural materiality, warmth, light and space. The building is divided into a two-storey element for the group rooms and a single-storey annex for the kitchen and ancillary rooms. Panoramic windows and open stairs create a visual and accessible connection between inside and outside.

Statement of the jury

Thanks to its sculptural and geometric design aesthetic, this building conveys a refreshingly modern and high-quality impression. Generously proportioned window façades make for open, congenial and marvellously light architecture, and an interior that’s flooded with natural light.
