With the app for Kobold VR200 by Vorwerk the vacuum robot can be controlled intuitively from anywhere. The visualization of the app interface harmonizes with the design language of the robot. This makes it easier for users to access functionalities which they know. In order to make the technical complexity of the IoT system invisible for the users and to make the overall user experience smooth, the design team focused on real-time status information and instant interaction feedback.

Statement of the jury

This app enables users to operate robot hoovers from a couch or other nearby location, or even while out and about. The app’s interface takes its visual cues from the hoover’s operating elements, including the striking green start and stop buttons.
