Tonatoo®-Quu Fire

Description

The Tonatoo Quu Fireplace is composed of a square base in the centre from which the fire burns, selectively with wood or gas. The square but quite slim and high upper part of the fireplace hangs down from the ceiling up to about 50 cm above the base. The upper part can be made up to six meters long and thereby fits perfectly even in high rooms. Due to the slim hood of the fireplace above the wide base, the fire can be seen from all around-so the flames as principal performers are always in focus.

Statement of the jury

This spectacularly beautiful fireplace is open from all sides and archaically puts the actual fire at centre stage. The product’s elegant and rigorously linear design aesthetic endows it with a totally timeless quality. The flue, which is suspended monolithically above the generously proportioned fire area, structures the space and is also a central feature of it.
