Cohesive Bright Villa
Description
By making use of architectural elements and a sophisticated lighting design, Max has curated an interactive and cohesive space for a family of four in this three storey house. Natural lighting is introduced to every corner of the house, coming from the roof window through the glass stair railing from top to bottom level. Another architectural concept used is the feature wall and the flooring extends from the kitchen into the garden; the indoor and outdoor spaces are integrated as a whole
Statement of the jury
The main design element of this fascinating concept is natural daylight, which enters via a centrally located and open staircase, extending from the skylights to the lowest residential floor. Light-coloured walls reflect the light up to the corners. Contrasting wooden elements and coloured furnishings create a warm and homey atmosphere in what would otherwise be a clear, reduced interior.
