Description

The holiday apartments of a historic mansion at the foot of vineyards around the Tappeinerweg in Merano (South Tyrol) were fully renovated in 2015/2016. An efficient floor plan,, the use of “honest” materials (oak wood, black steel) and well-matched textiles, but also the plain design of specifically crafted furniture and the warm quality of the colour and lighting concept, confer to these apartments as economically as possible a refreshing new, good quality, contemporary appearance.

Statement of the jury

The contemporary and inventive design of the furnishings form a harmonious unity along with the building’s historic architecture – a unity that also harmonises with the structure’s immediate environs and makes the facility a very pleasant place to stay.
