Re-Design MDR Sputnik

Description

MDR Sputnik is a German broadcasting channel for young people. Our aim was to create an identity based on a small set of strong visual design elements making the brand recognizable at every touchpoint, and customizable for every occasion. We invented a distinctive graphic brand icon: an emotional and shareable character. More than just a new logo, the new design and the character offer the opportunity for a deeper level of engagement with the brand.

Statement of the jury

Transforming Sputnik into a witty character that can be used in any number of ways is a lot of fun. A terrific idea that strengthens the loyalty of the program’s audience, which mainly consists of young people.
