Easy-Mixers or how to reinvent the classic cocktail with the “exquisite cadaver”
We turn to the beginnings of cocktail-making, linked to digestive medicinal concoctions which helped to balance overindulgence. We incorporate a pharmaceutical presentation through the bottle. In the Old World, the Europe of 1925, the surrealists recovered an old game they had once used to create new images easily. This technique was called cadavre exquis – “exquisite cadaver”. We included this technique in the visual narrative of the project.
The theme of mixing, handled here by inventively combining human and animal elements into fantastically coloured creatures, has been executed with great design panache. Another excellent idea was dividing the label into three areas that elucidate the mechanism.
