Description

The design centers around the creation of an intimate yet expansive garden sanctuary, holding layers of living spaces and prioritising elegant meditative environments. Characterised by fluidity and a fusion between exterior and interior spaces, the project conveys a deep respect for historical elements and a harmonious relationship with the wider natural and human context in an unusual land shape.

Statement of the jury

This impressively dimensioned addition not only provides considerably enlarged living space, but also, thanks to adept landscaping, creates a park-like atmosphere. The vertical structure in front of the large glass façade reflects the architecture upon which it is based, thus enabling the interior and its landscaping and the exterior to merge with each other in an intriguing fashion.
