The OTH Regensburg has a new corporate design. The aim of the CD is to announce the new name Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (East Bavarian Technical University Of Regensburg) and the abbreviation “OTH Regensburg”. For better internal differentiation, a logo system with sub-logos is introduced. The foundation for all the publications of OTH Regensburg is an adjustable grid which, at the same time, ensures the recognizability of all the printed and screen media of OTH Regensburg.
Statement of the jury
This typographical logo appears to comprise a series of components. The three white letters are strikingly set in a black square. The subsidiary logos follow suit and are colour coded to make them easier to recognise. The design is completely harmonious, however, and represents this “technical university” in an instantly recognisable fashion. The empathy-generating element created from the letter “O” that stands for a “young technical university” was a terrific idea.
