SWIM

Description

SWIM is a sculpted luminous door handle produced in frosted glass with safety, management and entertainment features. The model is ground from solid brass imitating the form of flowing water. When illuminated, in the dark or in the case of a blackout or panic, the door handle uses chromatic codes to communicate service information. It can also create lighting scenarios on the door, controlled by a dedicated app or by a domotic system.

Statement of the jury

This sculptural design takes a new and unusual approach to door-handle design. The idea of illuminating the transparent handle in various colours is visually striking, and is also highly useful in the dark.
