Description

The »gran kobi collection« by Patrick Norguet has been extended by a new variant: gran kobi essentiel. The new variant uses the same structure featuring aluminium legs painted various colours and a support in die-cast aluminium that encloses the seat in an elegant embrace. In: gran kobi essentiel the shell has shed the welded intersecting steel bars to become a generously sized structural element made from foam polyurethane and fully covered with fabric or leather.

Statement of the jury

The way that the seat shell sits in the frame is an excellent design solution. The wide shell has been slightly truncated, giving the chair a pleasingly compact feel and making it appear to take up less room. An elegant design which also appears very inviting and comfortable thanks to the fully upholstered shell.
