Westpac Barangaroo

Description

Westpac is one of the four large banks in Australia. Barangaroo is the new centre of development in Sydney. Westpac moved their HQ into Tower II of the Barrangaroo site. The lighting design for the interiors was focused on agile workspace. Areas of differing light levels and qualities enhance the ability for staff to choose their environment based on the task at hand. Gaining a 6-star GreenStar rating, the building’s energy efficiency was achieved through intelligent design.

Statement of the jury

This office space decor has a generously proportioned look and feel that’s also open and contemporary. Also very well done is the contemporary lighting design that can be flexibly adapted to a broad range of tasks.
