Altbausanierung – Dachgeschoss

Description

To give the small rooms more spaciousness, the ceiling, old fixtures and walls were removed. The wooden floor throughout creates a greater sense of space. Part of the concept was the colour design of the furniture and wall surfaces. Due to the same colour scheme of the furniture and wall surfaces, the furniture disappears visually and the room appears larger. The fitting of the furniture optimises the division of the space.

Statement of the jury

Despite limited space, the flat has a large and open feel about it. Doing the furnishings and walls in a similar colour was a great idea, as it enables the furnishings to fade discreetly into the background. An extremely well designed interior that has a modern and homely feel about it – also because the available space is optimally used.
