Planning the first restaurant of two young gourmet cooks was a great opportunity for the destilat design studio to implement an exciting interior architecture project in a listed building. The architectural concept is based on the culinary philosophy of Marco Barth and Sebastian Rossbach: a kitchen with simple yet top-quality and predominantly regional products prepared and presented with creative sophistication.


Statement of the jury

The design is notable for its minimalist and genuine clarity that’s a perfect fit with the existing structure – and that also evokes the purity and naturalness of the best-in-class products used in the kitchen. The open contiguousness of the rooms and the window to the kitchen are very well done indeed.
