Zalando Zeughofstraße

Description

Reconstruction and heightening of a former administration building in Berlin Kreuzberg (1960s to the 1980s), to transform it into the new main location of Zalando Lounge. Comprising the interior design, lighting design and furniture design on approximately 10,000 sqm for the foyer, the post office, several office floors housing different departments, various consulting rooms, the meeting rooms, the production hall for photo shoots, the employee cafeteria and the roof terrace with container bar, as well as the design of the guidance system.

Statement of the jury

These rooms have an uncluttered and tidy appearance which, their friendly and open atmosphere notwithstanding, afford ample opportunity for meetings and for getting things done. A contemporary design that doesn’t call attention to itself, but is instead geared to functionality and comfort in an informal atmosphere; plus, the decor is flexible enough to be adapted to all requirements.
