Description

As an answer to global pollution, we’ve designed the first ever fully recyclable NUTELLA® package. Glass, aluminium and paper can be easily recycled, lessening the impact on the eco-system. The plastic lid has been replaced with a paper one that can be printed; this makes the old label redundant, because all the info is now printed directly onto the lid itself. This innovation has brought three advantages: reduction of components and processes, elimination of plastic, and full recyclability.

Statement of the jury

Nutella jars are readily recyclable because their components are easy to separate out. And given that these jars have no paper label, all necessary information is placed on the lid.
