Basel Info is a newly developed concept including name and brand as well as map design, monoliths, fingerposts and old-town walking tours. For the first time in Basel, this project integrates wayfinding, public transport and cultural services. Monoliths contain area maps which are linked to the digital city map via QR code. Basel Info is a state-of-the-art service that meets visitors’ orientation needs and invites them to explore the city on their own by providing current information.

Statement of the jury

A contemporary system that brings pedestrian orientation and the attendant interactive steles into the modern world. This in turn makes pedestrian orientation simpler, more convenient and faster, while also expanding the range of information on offer.
