Description

Starting point for the development of the new Codan font was the need to create an extension of Codan’s visual brand DNA. There was a need for a type optimized for digital communications. The style was intended to point towards graphic decency and recognizability while also becoming a help for Codan to find a voice in writing. Inspired by basic geometric shapes like circles, triangles and squares, we created a simple expression with room for both corporate stability and playful human details.

Statement of the jury

With its clear, clean profile, this font has an extremely modern, reader-friendly appearance – which also makes it an attractive candidate for digital applications. At the same time, it is distinctive enough to offer high recognition value.
