Description

In 2017, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety contracted Vagedes & Schmid to draft and plan the UN Climate Change Conference. The approx. 26,500 delegates and representatives of civil societies from over 200 nations held climate protection negotiations for the 23rd time on a 55,000 sqm, purpose-built, temporary conference area, which also included about 40 indoor conference stands and 57 offices, as well as space for further events.


Statement of the jury

For the UN World Climate Conference, a temporary stage was erected very quickly, which featured a functional, contemporary design and was planned and implemented in an exemplary manner with regard to sustainability and environmental protection as well.
