Description

Happytear & Absolut Vodka tasked Swedish Illustrator Kari Modén to create a design for a new limited edition bottle for Global Travel Retail that celebrates global unity, to signify the joining of people, drawn together by the values we share. The most standout image is a peace sign – a badge of friendship that harkens back to the psychedelic 70’s. The bottle epitomises the iconic vodka brand’s efforts to stimulate connections between people regardless of background, gender or sexual preference.

Statement of the jury

With its colourful pattern of geometric shapes and curved lines, the design is reminiscent of the psychedelic pop art of the 60s and 70s. The cleverly integrated symbolism refers to the message of peace, which is expressed in a comprehensible manner in the work, thus uniting art, culture and brand at a high level of design.
