Description

The 3 Italiani store creates a unique and magical gelato universe. The store resembles a kitchen where ice cream is made and is decorated with gelato-inspired details. The semi-open workshop wall is patched with wavy patterns associated with the creamy texture of gelato; the colours reference milk and pistachio; triangular aluminium decorations on the ceiling and seats echo ice cream cones. Fun elements, like neon lights with three comic images of the founders each representing a flavour, light up the space.

Statement of the jury

The design translates the theme of ice cream café into a modern and fresh-looking interior in terms of both form and colour, an approach that succeeds on a highly individual level and promises a pleasant and relaxed stay. The café is given an unmistakable identity thanks in part to the cartoon-like heads of the founders.
