Description

Extra virgin olive oil is delicious, perfect for salad and cooking your favourite meal, but it’s also good for you. Superfluido used this concept as an inspiration for an extra virgin olive oil distributed in pharmacies instead of grocery stores. The branding and packaging look similar to health and protein beverages. The white bottle emphasises pureness. A lime green pixelated heart on the bottle, reminiscent of a pharmacy cross, is immediately eye-catching and communicates health.


Statement of the jury

The idea of translating the health-promoting aspect of good olive oil into the design of the bottle succeeds impressively. The Pixel logo is reminiscent of the typical pharmacist’s cross, with the green also referring to olive oil and the purist, white bottle emphasising medicinal purity. An interesting marketing approach that positions the product as a medicinal product, which is optimally supported by the design.
