At Gigasport, sport is number one and so the standards were high to reflect this when it came to redesigning the 4,000 sqm store. Two main attributes were encapsulated in the design: creating space and value. The existing corporate design and striking architecture of the building, which is around 20 years old, was also actively integrated. The formerly static layout and routing was modified to create a lively arrangement which discreetly directs customers to all areas of the store.
Statement of the jury
The interior, with its simple design idiom, matches both the grey of the floor and the wooden ceiling, is clearly structured and makes an uncluttered and modern impression. The corporate design has been very effectively integrated. It is present everywhere, but never perceived as intrusive.
