Modernisierung S-Bahnstationen in Hamburg

Description

For the four selected high-traffic S-Bahn stations Berliner Tor, Bergedorf, Sternschanze and Holstenstraße in Hamburg, we conceived an individual, distinctive design that breaks through the classic DB design elements. The focus of the extensive renovation of the stations was on a visual embellishment, which was implemented in a graphic and illustrative manner. Artistic elements such as street art design and pictures in pop art style were used.

Statement of the jury

Each design is of very high quality, yet differs so markedly from the others that in a short time it was already associated with its respective train station. An actual visual enhancement has been achieved here at a high level of design and artistry.
