Description

A sports centre from the 70s with energetic and functional deficiencies had to be renovated. In the subsequent planning process, the sports centre developed into a true multifunctional building. New functions such as cafeteria, library, teachers’ area and a multipurpose room create added value for everyone. An unused basement allowed for the construction of a new lowered sport hall, which integrates itself harmoniously into the environment.

Statement of the jury

The new sports centre looks bright, modern and friendly inside, which is reinforced by the distinctive colour scheme. The sports hall, which has been sunk almost halfway into the ground, looks significantly smaller and therefore blends smoothly into the surroundings.
