Urgent.Agency helped DTU with a brand identity update worthy of a technical elite university of the future. After ten years with a solid identity conveying a technical analogue expression, DTU got a core narrative and visual identity for a digital and more human DTU. In re-designing the identity, we sharpened the best existing features, modernised it with a tighter brand hierarchy, selected colours for the digital era and chose one typography to rule them all.
Statement of the jury
The design for the new brand presence puts people in the centre and presents itself as vibrantly fresh, youthful and digital, with a modern selection of imagery, made up of contemporary illustrations and a high-quality photo aesthetic. The colour-coding combines different colour groups under one visual umbrella, but still makes them easy to differentiate.
