Description

Bank cards in an innovative portrait format and minimalistic design, true to the motto »form follows function«: The front of the cards displays only the bank’s logo, the Mastercard or Maestro logo, the EMV chip and the NFC symbol. All personal data is now found at the back of the card, protecting such sensitive data from unwanted glances during transactions/use of the cards. In combination with the reduced matt black colour scheme, this represents an essential design and security feature.

Statement of the jury

Moving cardholder data to the back of the card is a sensible safety measure that prevents third parties from observing this information while the card is being used. The all-black colour scheme makes an impression of elegance and quality.
