Description

As a conceptual solution, a minimalist cube was designed which, mainly supported by wooden columns, seems to float over the landscape. With its visual appearance the construction makes the building stand out from the mass of profane functional architecture and at the same time contributes to a minimal interference with nature. The reduction of glazing to only a few large surface areas makes it possible to look at the surrounding scenery from different perspectives.

Statement of the jury

The cube with its hillside location makes an elegant statement. The clear, well-proportioned architecture looks timelessly modern, is functional, and melts gently and harmoniously into the surrounding landscape with minimal impact.
