The German Mining Museum opens the new permanent exhibition designed by res d and krafthaus with the areas Stone Coal – Engine of Industrialisation and Mining – Stone Age with a Future. A variety of 1,750 objects illustrate the history of mining, including innovations and inventions and their effects on technology, the economy, society and culture. The richly varied scenography with its interactive elements appeals to an audience of all ages.

The two diverse exhibition tours are carried out with lots of creative skill and bring the story of the hillside structure to life along with innovations, developments and effects on technology, economy, society and culture in a multitude of ways. A well-balanced multimedia presentation of content and exhibitions that suits both old and young.
