The business consultancy firm, frontier economics, which is wholly owned by its staff, was founded in 1999 and from the very outset had the primary objective of being different. In order to bring creative ideas and character to these excellent, committed economists, the architects of CSMM created a somewhat different working environment to feel good. Office concept and design offer a balance between concentration and communication and reflect the contrast between nature and industrial harbour.

Statement of the jury

The open office concept offers an optimal balance between concentration and communication. The mobile cabinetry facilitates a high degree of flexibility and has a distinctive DIY look that contributes to the identity of the office. The design also features a coherent colour and material concept that not only establishes a connection to nature, but also includes a view of the harbour. A comfortable working environment that is truly »something different«.
