UP Sustainable kitchen design

Description

A minimalistic design in solid wood with respect for materials and environment designed by architects Lendager Group for Reform. UP is a high-quality circular kitchen with surplus wood from the exclusive, world-renowned flooring manufacturer Dinesen. In an exclusive company like Dinesen, customer-specific solutions are produced, which generates large amounts of residual wood. The kitchen consists of cuts that are left when Dinesen has supplied floors to galleries, restaurants, mansions etc.

Statement of the jury

For the elegant wooden fronts of the kitchen made of exclusive Dinesen flooring, only cut scraps were used – something which is however not visible in the kitchen. A clever idea and an impressive statement when it comes to sustainability.
