»Help me to do it myself!«, the »mantra« of Maria Montessori. This mantra is in the design of the CLÉMENT child’s chair: light with a puristic design based on basic shapes such as a circle and square, the child can carry the chair independently thanks to the crossbars. The child’s haptic sensory experience comes into contact with natural materials such as felt (OekoTex 100), Valchromat and solid oak (FSC-certified). The CLÉMENT child’s chair remains available to the child for a long time, as it can be used for a longer period of time due to the elevations. Away from the over-consumption society towards the sustainable idea of growing with the chair, local and inclusive production in the Freiburg area and ecological natural materials.

Statement of the jury

Simple lines with concentric square shapes supported by tubular wooden legs define this eco-friendly child’s chair. The piece promises simple assembly, handling and adapts to the child’s body shape as they grow.
