Art Deco Sector Dial

Art Deco Sector Dial

Description

When designing watches for the present day, Tourby continues to look into the past. The new model features a number of style elements from the early years of the 20th century. One of these anachronisms is the sector dial, an attractive layout of the dial at that time, which is typically defined by closed concentric circles that clearly divide the dial. This layout creates a sense of order and control that is somewhat reminiscent of the structured design of Art Deco, but is even more minimalistic.

Statement of the jury

Simple geometric elements combine with gentle colours and minimal numeric components to create a sophisticated, elegant and spectacular watch that evokes the Art Deco movement of the early 20th century.
