Wiederaufbau und Restaurierung der Würzburger Residenz in der Zeit von 1945 bis 2020

A newly inaugurated exhibition shows the immense efforts to reconstruct and restore the Residenz Würzburg following its destruction in WW2. Eydos fundamentally and comprehensively developed and implemented this exhibition. Historical research for text, images, sound and film documents, the exhibition concept and design, including various media, as well as the realisation phase were carried out in full. A space that opens up perspectives, plays with them and moves its spectators.

Statement of the jury

The design was highly successful in enabling viewers to experience the degree of destruction and reconstruction in the form of analogue and digital photos and graphics attached to the floor and walls. An exhibition that is as impressive as it is fascinating, emotionally touching and memorable.
