Description

The driver’s cabin in the all new MAN truck is determined by three independently operable systems: Instrument Cluster, Mediasystem and Remote Control. Each system has its own truck-specific controls and content, that allow the driver to manage all their everyday tasks while driving, loading or resting. Its overarching operating concept and design enables the driver to intuitively locate the desired content on each touchpoint, guaranteeing the best user experience with minimum distraction.

Statement of the jury

The UX concept for the cockpit, carefully developed in cooperation with experienced truck drivers, supports drivers in their everyday work. The overarching interaction and design concept permits easy and intuitive operation of the three deliberately separated technology modules and as a result enhances safety during driving. A design that has been consistently implemented in formal, functional and technical terms down to the last detail and does justice to the requirements of a contemporary driving workplace to a high degree.
