Bauhaus Museum Store Weimar

Bauhaus Museum Store Weimar

Description

Felix Schwake was commissioned by the Klassik Stiftung Weimar to plan the museum store in the new Bauhaus museum in Weimar. The store was opened on the 4 May 2019 for the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus. Schwake developed a completely mobile product presentation concept from mobile stages as requested by the shop manager, Mr. von Keyserlingk, to offer his customers a spatial product presentation that changes daily. Aesthetically, the project was born out of the interplay with art.

Statement of the jury

The system made from several differently proportioned volumes offers a high level of flexibility. At the same time, the individual bodies were reduced in their form and designed to be minimalist so that they blend discreetly into the architectural space.
