Folkart Hills Residences

Description

The inspiration to create our topography was the landscape effect created by the nested hills in the countryside. These three-hilled structures form their own topography, melting into the silhouette on the high sloping land, without directly depicting a direction. The massive structural affect has been broken and the northward positioning of the structure is softened by the elliptical geometry. The parapets were created with STO Ventec R panels.

Statement of the jury

The design, which is inspired by the natural topography of gentle hills, blends perfectly into the surrounding countryside, where the white balustrades graphically trace the topography creating a wonderful view. An interesting design creating exciting dialogue and harmony between countryside and architecture.
